BePure Mum's One is an advanced daily multivitamin with over 30 important nutrients and minerals that each play a unique role in supporting mum and baby throughout their journey from conception to pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding and into motherhood.

Women have increased nutritional requirements during pregnancy - not just for folate and iodine but for the complete range of micronutrients we find in our food. BePure Mum's One contains the most bioavailable and high-strength versions of each vitamin and mineral to better support mums on their pregnancy journey and help prevent post-natal depletion.

Key Active Ingredients:

  • Vitamin B9 as methylated folate - For increased protection from neural tube defects.
  • Vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin - Needed for DNA replication and repair (mother and baby’s cellular growth).
  • Choline - Protective role in the development of the foetal brain and on behaviour in children following birth.
  • Iodine as potassium iodide - For baby’s brain development, and to promote healthy uterine tissue, breast tissue, optimal thyroid function and brain health for the mother.
  • Magnesium - Plays a crucial role in the treatment of unwanted pregnancy disorders.
  • Iron as iron biglycinate - During pregnancy requirement for iron increases, which can lead to birth complications.

Consult with your healthcare professional before using this product if:

    • You are on thyroid medication
    • Using blood thinning drugs such as warfarin
    • If you anticipate surgery
  • Is Mum's One vegan?
No, Mum's One contains Vitamin D sourced from lanolin from sheep's wool.

    Is Mum's One allergy-friendly?
Mum's One does contain Vitamin E derived from soy, and Vitamin C derived from corn, however, is free from gluten, dairy, refined sugar, GMO, artificial colours, flavours and additives.

When should I start taking Mum's One?
We recommend taking Mum's One 3 months prior to conception, throughout pregnancy, and also post-natally to support nutrient depletion following pregnancy and throughout breastfeeding.

Can I take Mum's One alongside other BePure products?
Yes, BePure Mum's One is safe to take alongside most other BePure products, except BePure One, which is safe to take while pregnant or breastfeeding but it is not suitable to take both BePure One and Mum's One at the same time.

Is there anything else I should be taking to support my nutrient status through pregnancy?
The Ministry of Health recommends 800ug of folate during pregnancy. Mum’s One contains a total of 300µg of Folate. To check whether Folate Restore (which contains 300µg of Folate) is right for you alongside Mum's One, please check with your health professional first. We also recommend taking Mum's One alongside BePure Two to support the developing microbiome of your baby, and also BePure Three which contains DHA for optimal brain and nervous system development. We have BePure Mum's One, Two and Three together in our Pregnancy and Motherhood Pack.

Is Vitamin A safe to take during pregnancy?
The dose of Vitamin A we have in Mum's One is safe during pregnancy. We have 600mcg RAE (retinol equivocal) from 2 sources of vitamin A (one of which is plant-derived and poorly converted to active vitamin A, only up to 50% of beta carotene gets converted to active vitamin A). The recommended dietary intake (RDI) of vitamin A during pregnancy is 800 mcg RAE and the upper limit for this demographic is 3,000 mcg RAE (5 x the amount in mum's one). Given that pregnant women are encouraged to avoid a number of foods that contain active Vitamin A during pregnancy i.e. cold meat products like liver/pate, soft cheeses unless cooked, Active vitamin A is not usually an abundant nutrient in a pregnant women’s diet and like all humans they have a dietary need for it. Due to these factors, we believe additional Vitamin A during pregnancy is helpful to mum and baby. If you have any further questions, feel free to email our team at info@bepure.co.nz.

Can I take Mum's One with my medication?
Please consult with your healthcare professional if you are on any medication, particularly thyroid or blood thinning medications, prior to taking this product.

Can I take Mum's One if I'm not pregnant?
Yes, you sure can! This product contains extra nutrients that are specifically needed during pregnancy, but if you feel like you need an extra boost or would like a product with iron and vitamin B12 you can certainly take this product at any time during your life, male or female.
