NOW® Sunflower Lecithin Powder has phosphatidyl choline, the most abundant phospholipid in the cell membrane.

Sunflower Lecithin also naturally abounds in phosphatidyl inositol, phosphatidyl ethanolamine, and essential fatty acids, and aids in emulsifying fats, enabling them to be dispersed in water. NOW® Sunflower Lecithin Powder is soy free and non-GMO. Lecithin is a fat that is essential in the cells of the body and it often used to support treating memory disorders such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and helping to support the body to lower high cholesterol.

It is also used for treating gallbladder disease, liver disease, certain types of depression, anxiety, and a skin disease called eczema.

Lecithin is converted into acetylcholine, a substance that transmits nerve impulses.
